Chris Stapleton, Sting Entertain Trucking Leaders

AUSTIN, Texas — Country singer-songwriter and legendary pop rock musician performed back-to-back sets as the surprise entertainment at 2023 Customer Appreciation Event.
DTNA, the manufacturer of Freightliner and Western Star trucks and Detroit engines, hosted the private concert for trucking industry executives and their guests on Oct. 16 during .
Stapleton and Sting each played more than hourlong sets for the invitation-only audience of over 1,000 at the Moody Center arena on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.
Sting, who fronted new wave band the Police before launching his solo career in 1985, kicked off the evening’s entertainment.
The English singer and guitarist performed a litany of hits, including “Message in a Bottle,” “Fields of Gold,” “Shape of My Heart,” “Desert Rose” and “Every Breath You Take.”

A short time later, Stapleton energized the crowd with his blend of country, bluegrass and rock music, playing hits such as “White Horse,” “Nobody to Blame” and “Tennessee Whiskey.”
The Kentucky native also performed “Crosswind,” an as yet unreleased song about truck drivers.
As in years past, the event’s entertainers remained shrouded in secrecy until and , senior vice president of sales and marketing, welcomed them onto the stage.
