Diesel Price Falls 4.5¢ to $3.534 a Gallon

The national average diesel price fell 4.5 cents a gallon to $3.534, according to U.S. Energy Information Administration data released April 22.
It is the second consecutive drop — totaling 10.5 cents — after the price had risen 9 cents over three straight increases.
A gallon of trucking’s main fuel now costs 45.8 cents less than it did at this time in 2024.

Regional Trends
Diesel’s average price decreased in all five PADD districts, with the largest being 7.2 cents a gallon in the Gulf Coast region. Prices along the East Coast slid 4.6 cents, and the cost in the Midwest went down 3.5 cents.
