Cost Falls for Second Straight Week After Four Consecutive Increases

The national average diesel price dipped 4.7 cents to $3.779 a gallon, according to data released July 22.

Diesel’s national average price has dropped in each of the past two weeks, totaling 8.6 cents, after four consecutive increases.
A gallon of diesel now costs 12.6 cents less than it did at this time in 2023.
Diesel’s average price declined in all 10 regions of , from a high of 9 cents along the Gulf Coast to just six-tenths of a cent in the Central Atlantic.
The national average price for a gallon of gasoline declined 2.5 cents to $3.471. That's 12.5 cents less than it cost at this time a year ago.
