The New York City-based digital freight platform company said the new feature provides the shipping community with a greater ability to prevent carrier fraud. The feature adds a unique QR code to its rate confirmations, making it easy to check that the shipment is a confirmed load.
“As the frequency and complexity of freight fraud continue to escalate, so does our work to combat it,” said . “The industry must come together to address the security weaknesses that are impacting carriers and shippers alike, and our hope is that this initiative will generate further action across the sector.”
The feature is intended to combat fraudulent actors like those that impersonate legitimate freight brokers and shippers. The QR code will take drivers to a dedicated landing page when scanned. There the load authenticity and shipment details will be validated.
