Michigan State Police have launched an electronic messaging experiment enlisting truck drivers to help avoid accidents by receiving road safety alerts sent to their ELDs.

WASHINGTON — Transportation technology company Drivewyze announced at the Transportation Research Board conference Jan. 9 that it is making its new safety system available at no cost.

Drivewyze and Bestpass Inc. have joined forces so fleets can better leverage their toll management and weigh station bypass services, the companies announced Jan. 4.

Drivewyze announced it partnered with the Georgia Department of Transportation to provide real-time traffic alerts from Inrix through Drivewyze’s smart roadways service.

Connected truck services provider Drivewyze Inc. announced it is now providing real-time weather warnings as part of its Drivewyze Safety+ proactive driver notification platform on ELDs.

Drivewyze introduced a safety system Oct. 14 that allows fleets to add customizable driving alerts and analyze driver behavior.
