The national average diesel price keeps dropping, decreasing 6.8 cents a gallon to $3.658, according to data released June 10.

Highlights

• Diesel’s price has dropped for nine consecutive weeks, marking a 40.3-cent falloff since a gallon cost $4.061 on April 8.
• The average diesel price hasn’t been this inexpensive since it was $3.6257 on Jan. 10, 2022.
• A gallon of diesel costs 13.6 cents less on average than it did at this time in 2023.
• Diesel’s average price went down in all 10 regions in , ranging from a high of 8 cents in the Midwest to a low of 1.9 cents in New England.
• The national average price for a gallon of gasoline slid 8.7 cents, totaling 14.8 cents the past two weeks, to settle at $3.429. That's down 16.6 cents from this time last year.
