Vehicle parts manufacturer Eaton Corp. said Wednesday it has formed an alliance with German firm Linde Hydraulics.

Vehicle parts manufacturer Eaton Corp. said Tuesday its first-quarter profit was $155 million, or 91 cents a share, compared with a loss of $50 million, or 30 cents, a year ago, as truck segment sales improved.

Manufacturer Eaton Corp., Kalamazoo, Mich., said that trucks using its hybrid powertrain technology have logged about 30 million miles globally.

Heavy-duty trucking supplier ArvinMeritor Inc. last week won an antitrust case against competitor Eaton Corp., as a federal court jury found Eaton had made deals with truck makers that shut ArvinMeritor out of the heavy transmission market.
